Timelapse Maestro ("the app", "we", "us") is an application for controlling the Dynamic Perception NMX camera motion rig over Bluetooth. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.
Timelapse Maestro is a tool that talks to motion-control hardware over a direct Bluetooth connection. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email inside the app, and we do not sell your data. The only information we collect is limited, anonymized diagnostic and usage data used to keep the app stable and improve it.
The app does not require you to create an account or sign in. Settings you configure — such as rig calibration, motor preferences, and saved moves — are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
If you email us at support@timelapsemaestro.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message and use it only to respond to you.
If you join our waitlist or sign up to be a beta tester through our sign-up form, that form is hosted by Google Forms and collects the information you choose to enter (such as your email address) so we can contact you about early access and updates. We use it only for that purpose and do not sell it. The form is governed by Google's privacy policy. You can ask us to remove your details at any time by emailing support@timelapsemaestro.com.
The app uses Bluetooth to find and connect to your NMX controller. On Android, the operating system requires location-related permissions to perform a Bluetooth scan; the app uses these solely to discover nearby NMX hardware. The app does not collect, store, or transmit your geographic location, and it does not use GPS.
To keep the app reliable and understand how features are used, the app uses two third-party services:
This data is processed by these providers on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policies: Firebase / Google and Amplitude, and Google Analytics. We use the data only in aggregate and do not use it to identify you personally.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Settings and saved moves remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained by our provider only as long as needed for the purposes described above.
You can turn off anonymous usage analytics at any time from the app's About screen — toggle off "Share anonymous usage data." You can also stop all data collection by uninstalling the app, and on most platforms limit ad and analytics identifiers in your device settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
