Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: June 14, 2026

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Timelapse Maestro application ("the app", "we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The short version

Timelapse Maestro is an independent tool that commands real motion-control hardware over Bluetooth. Moving equipment can damage gear or injure people if used carelessly. You are responsible for operating your equipment safely. The app is provided "as is," and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage to your hardware, your property, or for any injury.

What the app does

The app sends motion and configuration commands to the Dynamic Perception NMX camera motion rig and compatible controllers over a direct Bluetooth connection. It controls physical motors and moving equipment.

Safe operation is your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the safe setup and operation of your equipment. Before and during use you should:

  • Keep people, pets, and obstructions clear of the rig and any moving parts, cables, and payloads.
  • Make sure the rig is stable, properly mounted, and within its rated load and travel limits.
  • Stay attentive and ready to stop motion or cut power, and never leave a moving rig unattended.
  • Verify your settings (travel, speed, limits, calibration) before starting a move.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular hardware or firmware version, or that it will prevent damage or malfunction.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any damage to your motion-control hardware, cameras, lenses, or other equipment; loss of footage or data; property damage; personal injury; or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. You use the app entirely at your own risk.

Third-party hardware & firmware

The app communicates with hardware and firmware made by third parties. That hardware can behave unexpectedly, stall, or require a power cycle for reasons outside the app's control. We are not responsible for the behavior, defects, reliability, or safety of any third-party hardware or firmware.

Not affiliated with Dynamic Perception

Timelapse Maestro is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Dynamic Perception, LLC. "NMX" and any other product names or trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and the safety guidance above. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app except as permitted by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
