This is the real app driving a simulated NMX. Move the joystick and watch the rig slide, pan, and tilt. No hardware, no signup.
Simulated NMX — sled · pan · tilt
Simulation only — on a real rig it talks to your NMX over Bluetooth.
The demo above is the real app. Here it is out in the field, driving an actual Dynamic Perception NMX over Bluetooth.
Real hardware, real Bluetooth — no simulation.
You invested in a great rig — but the original apps were built for phones from another era.
Timelapse Maestro fixes every one of these. Your hardware was always the good part.
Built by an NMX owner — not by Dynamic Perception, just a fan of their hardware who wanted to keep a great rig rolling on a modern phone.
Everything the original app did — faster and clearer — plus a few things it never could.
The NMX firmware is particular — send the wrong command at the wrong moment and it can lock up. We reverse-engineered the safe command sequences and designed around every quirk, so your long runs finish clean.
No new hardware, no adapters. If your controller pairs over
Bluetooth as DP-NMX, Timelapse Maestro talks to it —
sled, pan, tilt, and camera shutter, on iPhone and Android.
Independent sled, pan, and tilt with a live joystick and slider that doubles as a dead-man's safety hold — let go and the rig stops.
Set start and end points, travel time, and lead-in / lead-out, then let the rig run the move on its own while you watch the scene.
Per-axis easing — linear, parabolic, and inverse — for accelerations that look natural on screen instead of mechanical.
Calibrate your gear and rig once and work in millimeters and degrees instead of guessing at raw motor steps.
Mid-run Bluetooth reconnect with dead-reckoning keeps a long timelapse on track even if your phone briefly loses the link.
Tell us how it goes — bug reports, feature ideas, or help getting your rig paired. A real person reads every message.
